India’s mobile phone subscriber base registered a drop of 2.8 million in September, according to latest TRAI data. That is a 0.24 percent decrease to 1.18 billion subscribers. Out of that, active mobile connections were 1.02 billion. Mobile connections per 100 people, or the tele-density of wireless subscribers, stood at 91.56 as of September 30.
