Trichy: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has managed to restore 90% of mobile towers damaged in cyclone Gaja across Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam districts. With a majority of officials and senior bureaucrats using BSNL networks during relief operations, the state-owned telecommunication provider had installed a portable mobile tower at Thalainayar near Vedaranyam.
