DoT wants BSNL, MTNL to work together to strengthen network

The department of telecom (DoT) wants BSNL and MTNL to join hands on not just ramping up the latter’s 3G network in the National Capital Region (NCR) to ramp up service experience for customers, but also wants both the operators to pitch together for enterprise customers on a pan-India basis, utilising each other’s networks across the country.

Federal Bank associates with BSNL for offering UPI payment services to BSNL customers. All BSNL landline and mobile customers can pay their bills or recharge their mobiles using Unified Payment Interface (UPI) powered by Federal Bank in the BSNL website.

Bharti Airtel nets 50% of Aircel ‘port-ins’

 Telecom major Bharti Airtel said on Friday that more than 1.50 million customers from Aircel have joined its network, taking the total to more than 20 million customers in the Tamil Nadu. So far, Bharti Airtel has got the highest share of approximately 50% of all “port-ins” from Aircel customers across the country, Bharti-Airtel, Hub CEO-Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Manoj Murali in a statement here.

BSNL Prepaid STV 58 Now Offers Unlimited Calls, 100 SMS Per Day, 500MB Data for 7 Days

State-run telco BSNL is now offering unlimited benefits with its prepaid STV of Rs 58. This plan from BSNL goes against the Rs 59 plan of Bharti Airtel and Rs 52 plan of Reliance Jio. And it offers benefits in-line with the rival operator plans. The STV 58 of BSNL gives unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 500MB of data for a period of seven days.

Copper wire worth Rs 35,000 stolen from power board office

PANCHKULA: Unknown miscreants stole copper wire worth Rs 35,000 in Ratour village on Friday night,
Officials of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL), Raipur Rani division, in their complaint, said the wires were stolen from their premises.
