BSNL pensioners demand industrial DA

Petition submitted to Seventh Pay Commission to fix minimum pension as 67 % of last drawn pay

The All India BSNL DoT Pensioners’ Association (AIBDPA) has demanded the extension of the 78.2 per cent industrial dearness allowance (IDA) currently given to the employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited to the pensioners as well. It has submitted a petition to the Seventh Pay Commission to fix the minimum pension payable to the pensioners of BSNL and the Department of Telecommunications as 67 per cent of the last drawn pay, according to K.G. Jayaraj, All India General Secretary of the AIBDPA.

सरकारी कंपनी भारत संचार निगम लिमिटेड (बीएसएनएल) देश में ही टेलीकॉम उपकरण की मैन्युफैक्चरिंग करने की तैयारी में है। कंपनी अपनी जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए टेलीकॉम सेवाओं में इस्तेमाल होने वाली बैटरी, टूल किट्स, ऑप्टिकल फाइबर केबल में इस्तेमाल होने वाले उपकरण सहित दूसरे उपकरण बनाएगी। कंपनी इस काम में जापान की कंपनियों के साथ मिलकर देश में मैन्युफैक्चरिंग प्लांट लगाएगी। इसके लिए जल्द ही कंपनी जापान की कंपनियों के साथ समझौता (एमओयू) करेगी।
