BSNL Launches Rs.995 Broadband Plan With 20Mbps Speed, 200GB FUP

To combat competition from rival brand Reliance Jio, BSNL has introduced new broadband plans in its Kerala circle. Kerala is one of the biggest circles of BSNL and the offer has been launched here exclusively. The plan is priced at Rs 995 and is named as BSNL FIBRO BBG ULD 995. The plan, however, is not as attractive compared to other internet service providers like ACT broadband and Bharti Airtel as it offers only 20Mpbs download + upload speed up to 200 GB. It also offers an after FUP at 2Mpbs speed.

BSNL FIBRO BBG ULD 995: Features

This would be a limited period offer and is valid up to a period of 90 days from the date of introduction. The plan does not aim to compete with other private internet service providers. Also, the offer is available only to Ernakulam circle of Kerala and not any other city of Kerala.
The major benefit of the plan is the FUP that it has to offer. The FUP that it offers is 2Mpbs speed up to 200 GB. The users will also receive an email ID with 1GB space. The major drawback of this plan is that it does not come with any call benefits. The telecom giant is also charging installation charges of Rs 500 for new users. Existing users can also opt for this plan.
On long-term recharge, there are some discounts one can avail. The one year plan would be Rs 10,945, for two years it would be Rs 20,898 and Rs 29,850 for 3 years.

BSNL’s Fiber Broadband Plans:

Some of the other popular plans that will undergo revision are Fibro Combo ULD 3999 where the user will now get 500 GB FUP data with 50 Mbps download speed at Rs 3999. The same plan earlier used to offer 300 GB t 20mpbs speed.
Moreover, the Fibro combo ULD 5999 plan will offer 1000 GB FUP data per month at 60mpbs at Rs 5999 whereas earlier the user would get 400 GB of FUP at 30 Mbps.
The fibro combo ULD plan will offer 2TB of FUP data at 80 Mbps per month at Rs 9999. Earlier the subscribers used to get 600 GB data at 50 Mbps speed. The charges will be inclusive of service charges and taxes.

BSNL’s Expected Updations:

BSNL service provided in Puducherry are also expected to be revised and improved as a major network update is underway in this region too. They will be scaling up the current speed of 10gbps to 20 Gbps. This would be further scaled up as BSNL will be shifting to their modern technology MNG PAN – MPLS – TP. They are also in the process of taking fiber-based broadband across Puducherry on franchise module and is expecting to see subscriber growth in this sector post the developments.

BSNL has already shifted its 11 circles to Next Generation Technology and the rest of the 13 circles are soon to follow positively in the current fiscal.
