BSNL Rs. 27 prepaid recharge plan offering unlimited calling, data and more

BSNL Rs. 27 prepaid recharge plan to be available from August 6

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has been very aggressive in the recent past when it comes to offering affordable data and tariff plans and with the BSNL Rs. 27 prepaid recharge plan, the state-owned telco is now looking to take the fight to Reliance Jio in the weekly plans segment.

BSNL has launched a couple of affordable plans recently including the Rs. 75 prepaid plan and Rs. 171 prepaid plan which offers high-speed data and unlimited voice calling benefits. With the BSNL Rs. 27 prepaid recharge plan, on the other hand, the telco is offering unlimited voice calls, 1GB of total high-speed data and 300 SMS for the entire validity of 7 days. There are no FUP limits on both voice calling and data consumption.
While this plan will be made available across India starting from August 6, according to a report by TelecomTalk, the BSNL Rs. 27 prepaid recharge plan will not be available in Mumbai and Delhi circles since BSNL doesn’t operate in these two circles.

On the other hand, the report by TelecomTalk further adds that if any circle where BSNL operates has a tariff plan worth Rs. 27, then the state-owned telco has asked to push that particular plan to the next vacant denomination in order to make way for the BSNL Rs. 27 prepaid recharge plan.
In comparison, Reliance Jio Rs. 52 prepaid plan offers 1.05GB (150 MB per day) of total data along with unlimited voice calls and 70 SMS messages with a validity of 7 days. The Mukesh Ambani-led telco also has an Rs. 49 prepaid pack which comes with 1GB of 4G data, 50 SMS messages, truly unlimited voice calls, and a subscription to the Jio suite of apps. That said, this prepaid plan is only available for Jio Phone users.
