Indore : The BSNL starts its wi-fi service through hot-spot at three locations in the city. For the first 15 minutes, the mobile customers can use the service free of charge.
MR Rawat, General Manager of BSNL on Saturday said during the meeting with MPs of the region, CGM GC Pandey had announced to start 3 hot-spots in City very soon.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava were also present in the meeting. Rawat further said that the hot-spots are being installed at Khajrana Ganesh temple, Rajwada and Regional Park. At the 3 locations, the BSNL will provide free of charge internet access to cell phone users for the first 15 minutes. Thereafter, the customers will receive a message and undergo for online recharge facility. The online recharge data pack would be available in denomination of Rs 200MB in Rs 30, 400 MB in Rs 50, 800 MB in Rs 90 and 1.5GB in Rs 150.
Rawat said that the number of hot-spots would be increased in the city in near future. The BSNL is claiming that the internet speed of the hot-spots is even more than 4G.
The BSNL is planning to avail the internet through the same hot-spot techniques in the Simhasta Fair too. The people in the radius of 200 meter from the location of hot-spot can access the internet.
It may be recalled that the BSNL is also going to introduce the state-of-the-art technology ‘NGN technology’ in landline phones too. After the launch of the service, the landline user customers too can send the SMS like cell phones. The installation of equipment for NGN technology is going on in the city.
