BSNL Launches Rs.995 Broadband Plan With 20Mbps Speed, 200GB FUP

To combat competition from rival brand Reliance Jio, BSNL has introduced new broadband plans in its Kerala circle. Kerala is one of the biggest circles of BSNL and the offer has been launched here exclusively. The plan is priced at Rs 995 and is named as BSNL FIBRO BBG ULD 995. The plan, however, is not as attractive compared to other internet service providers like ACT broadband and Bharti Airtel as it offers only 20Mpbs download + upload speed up to 200 GB. It also offers an after FUP at 2Mpbs speed.

BSNL Urges DoT to Release Rs 250 Crore Worth of Funds for Network Expansion in LWE Affected Areas

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, the state-run telco has requested the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to release Rs 250 crore worth of funds to pay vendors who are working on the task of mobile network expansion in areas affected by Left Wing Extremism. BSNL has further said to the department, that it risks losing the interest of vendors in doing further network infrastructure development in the area if the repayment is not made on time. To highlight the issue, the state-led telco has sent numerous letter to DoT.

Lucknow Metro, BSNL Ink Pact To Facilitate Customer Services

Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) and BSNL have signed an MoU for extending benefits in customer services.

Through this agreement, BSNL will avail the smart card services of LMRC for the collection of post-paid bills and sale of pre-paid products like recharge vouchers and electronic top-up at LMRC station counters.
