BSNL announces 10-day Rs 39 prepaid plan with unlimited calls, 100 SMSes, and free ringback tone

Government-backed telecom service, BSNL, toady, introduced a new prepaid plan for its customers. The company now has a Rs 39 recharge plan that offers unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit for a tenure of ten days.


Alongside the unlimited calls, the STV 30 also offers 100 SMSes and free personalised ring back tone (PRBT) for the validity period. This is the first time SMS benefits are being offered with BSNL voice-only recharge. As seen with various other BSNL tariff plans, the free voice calling is not applicable for users in Mumbai and Delhi circles.

For customers living in these regions, BSNL has Rs 45 plan that offers unlimited STD and local calls. However, there is a catch, the BSNL STV 45 can only be used with unlimited combo plans of Rs 186, Rs 484 and Rs 666  from the telecom operator.

Shri R.K.Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board, said that “the Rs 39 special Tariff Voucher (STV) is only for voice with a validity of 10 days catering to the specific requirement of our esteemed subscribers.”

The Rs 39 plan is the most basic voice-only plan from BSNL, which also includes Rs 99 and Rs 319 plans. The STV 99 offers unlimited voice calls to any network across the country (excluding Mumbai and Delhi) for 26 days along with free PRBT. The STV 319 offers unlimited voice calls without any SMS or PRBT benefits for 90 days.
