Trivandrum: ‘BSNL Wings’, the VoIP based internet telephony service from BSNL, the public sector telecom service provider, was introduced in the State by Dr P T Mathew, Chief General Manager, BSNL Kerala Circle in Thiruvananthapuram today.

The service allows users to place and receive calls from Smartphones, Tablets, PCs and laptops without a SIM card, utilizing the Internet service of any operator. Booking for the service has commenced through BSNL’s customer service centres and its website bsnl.co.in. Customers will be allotted a 10 digit virtual phone number using which they can make and receive calls. ‘BSNL Wings’ offers unlimited calls to any network in the country with a one-time registration charge of Rs. 1,099/-.
“Subscribers can install the app on their device and use the virtual number to login to make calls. The service comes with national and international roaming facilities. This service will be very useful for the NRIs visiting India and those who travel abroad very frequently as customers can make India bound calls at cheaper call rates while roaming in other countries. Wings comes with the unique feature of allowing users to call any phone number, from other mobile networks to even landlines. BSNL is the first operator in the country to offer such a service”, the CGM said.
BSNL has also introduced new high-speed promotional FTTH plans – Fibro Combo ULD 777 offering speeds up to 50 Mbps till 500 GB and Fibro Combo ULD 1277 with speeds up to 100 Mbps till 750 GB bundled with unlimited calls to any network. The plans will be available till August 10, 2018.
New mobile Postpaid Plan 399 with unlimited calls and data; and Prepaid ‘Kerala Plan 446’with extra 1 GB data were also announced.
Promotional Broadband Plans – BBG Combo ULD 150 GB, BBG Combo ULD 300GB and BBG Combo ULD 600 GB with unlimited data and unlimited calls have also been introduced.
