Telecom consumers in Kashmir are perplexed these days. It has been six months now that BSNL subscribers here are receiving obscene messages and they are clueless why the government telecom company is not taking cognizance of the matter.
Reacting strongly to the matter, Hurriyat Conference (G)'s Syed Ali Shah Geelani has now cautioned that if BSNL fails to resolve the issue, Hurriyat will appeal the people to boycott the services of this telecom company in the state.
In an official statement, Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that the people who are using the BSNL SIM cards are constantly receiving obscene messages in which some selected telephone numbers and names of girls with their age are given and the subscribers are asked to call on these numbers. Akbar has alleged that there's a 'well-thought agenda' at its back which is aimed to destroy the moral character of the teenagers and youths of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, consumers took to social media and mocked the messages being sent by the telecom company.
Dear readers, please share your views and opinions about these new attractive offers by BSNL via comments with us.
