BSNL offer: New recharge pack unveiled; is it better than Reliance Jio, Airtel? Find out

With the telcos major player busy competing against each other, by introducing a flood of offers like unlimited data, calls, SMS and many more, looks the state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has also prepared itself to take on rivals like Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone. Over teh recent days, that the company has introduced three new recharge packs (Rs 118, Rs 379 and Rs 551)  for prepaid customers providing somewhat similar offers like its peers.

BSNL on track to post biggest ever subscriber losses in FY18

India’s state-owned telecom utility Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd is likely to report a decline of around 1.66 mln landline phone users in the year-ended March 2018, the highest in its history.
During the first ten months of the just-concluded financial year, the company saw a 10.04% fall in its landline telephone users. At this rate, total landline subscriber base is on track to decline by about 12.15% during the full financial year.

BSNL in Tamil Nadu Added 1.1 Million New Subscribers Last Month

Last month was an exciting one for top telecom operators in India as millions of Aircel customers have ported out from the ailing telco to other top networks. State-run telecom operator, BSNL has now confirmed that it added 1.1 million new customers in Tamil Nadu state alone in March 2018. The telco has posted a couple of images on Twitter, which confirmed these numbers. That said, most of these additions would have come from Mobile Number Portability (MNP) itself as millions of Aircel customers in the circle are porting out to other operators.

BSNL, Vodafone Will Approach Court For Recovering Dues From Aircel!

Aircel, the bankrupt telecom firm, is now facing severe monetary issues and is gasping for air as lenders are knocking at their doors for recovering money.
Overall, Aircel has combined debt of Rs 50,000 crore, and the lenders are becoming restless.
Meanwhile, employees too are facing the heat, as their salaries are put on hold, and they have no idea when they will get it.

BSNL flags concerns over Rs 42 crore pending dues from Aircel, informs DoT

New Delhi: It has come to light that state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) has approached the Department of Telecommunication for the recovery of its outstanding dues from financially stressed telecom company Aircel, which recently filed for bankruptcy, reported news agency PTI. According to the report, the telecom PSU has written to the DoT for exploring options, including legal remedies for recovery of dues from Aircel to the tune of Rs 42 crore.

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has approached the Communications Ministry for recovery of its outstanding dues from the troubled telecom firm Aircel, which recently filed for bankruptcy.
The telecom PSU, in a letter to the Department of Telecom (DoT), has also said it is exploring options including legal remedies for recovery of its outstanding dues of about Rs 42 crore.
The move comes at a time when Aircel has filed for bankruptcy citing "troubled times" in the "highly financially stressed" industry.

BSNL announces new ultra-cheap prepaid packs to take on Jio

State-run BSNL has announced a bundh of prepaid plans and tweak some existing ones to take on the Reliance Jio.

The cheapest among the new BSNL packs cost just Rs 118. Pitted against the Rs 98 pack of Jio, this new BSNL pack offers 1 GB of 3G data every day and comes with 28 days validity. It also offers unlimited calls. However, this is only valid for Tamil Nadu circles.

State-owned telecom operator BSNL has released several new prepaid packs and revised its postpaid plans. Starting off with the most affordable of the lot, BSNL has introduced its Rs. 118 prepaid pack that offers a total of 1GB 3G/ 4G data, and unlimited voice calls (including roaming except for Delhi and Mumbai circles) with a validity of 28 days. Users will get free access to Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT) and is valid only in the Tamil Nadu circle.

However, BSNL introduced this new plan only in Tamil Nadu circle, and there’s no info from the company on when it’s going to launch this affordable plan in other circles. Also, this new plan will be effective from April 1, 2018, in the circle.

BSNL Waives Off One-Month Rental On These Connections

Amid high competition in the telecom industry, BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is promoting bookings through social media. State-run telecom company BSNL is offering to waive off rental of one month on bookings of landline, broadband and FTTH or fibre-to-the-home connections made through social media. This was said by BSNL on microblogging site Twitter.

Tejas Networks bags Rs 336 cr deal from BSNL for BharatNet prog

 NEW DELHI: Domestic telecom gear maker Tejas Networks today said it has won a Rs 336-crore order from state-run BSNL for expansion of BharatNet project.
