State-run BSNL has announced a bundh of prepaid plans and tweak some existing ones to take on the Reliance Jio.
The cheapest among the new BSNL packs cost just Rs
118. Pitted against the Rs 98 pack of Jio, this new BSNL pack offers 1
GB of 3G data every day and comes with 28 days validity. It also offers
unlimited calls. However, this is only valid for Tamil Nadu circles.
Note that Jio’s pack offers only 2 GB 4G data for the
whole month but it offers complimentary access to Jio apps and 300 SMS
messages. It has 28 days validity too.
BSNL has also announced a Rs 379 pack that offers 4GB
3G/ 4G data per day and 30 minutes of free BSNL-to-BSNL voice calls
every day. It has validity of 30 days. This pack is valid for Kerala
circle.
In comparison, Jio offers Rs 349 and Rs 399 plans
with 70 and 84 days validity. Both offers 1.5 GB of 4G data every day
and unlimited voice calls.
BSNL has also announced another Rs 551 plan for Kerala circle. It also offers 1.5 GB of 4G data per day.
As per a report of Telecom Talk, BSNL has introduced a
60-days plan that costs Rs 444. It offers 1.5 GB of data per day and
200 minutes of free calls per day. This plan has been announced for
Mumbai and Delhi circles. For the same circle a Rs 485 plan has been
announced which comes with 90 days of validity and offers 1 GB of data
per day.
As per the report, BSNL has also tweaked its Rs 666
plan for Kerala circle, offering 1 GB of data per day, unlimited voice
calls even on roaming and 100 SMSes per day for 129 days.
