Good news for Assam and Meghalaya people. Telecom Major PSU Bharat
Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) prices for its broadband connections might
be coming down. As BSNL have signed an agreement with a Bangladeshi
submarine cable company for a 10GBps bandwidth per second to Tripura.
This agreement between BSNL and the Bangladeshi Submarine Company is
going to touch 100GBps at later point of time, if everything works fine.
BSNL has to invest more if it ops for terrestrial cable rather than
submarine cable through Bangladesh. Even more its maintenance will also
be more when compared to the distance. Furthermore Bangladesh
Telecommunication Regulatory Commission is also suggested the company
which willing to rent the same.
In fact the deal is supposed to be freezed in the mid of last year, as BSNL wants to have tele-transit through Bangladesh rather than taking it on to the rent. Actually BSNL wants to have 100GB Bandwidth to North-Eastern states. Lets hope BSNL will make this option live so that even remotest of North-Eastern States can also witness high speed BSNL Unlimited Broadband.
