Do you expect where ever you go, there will be BSNL Wi-Fi hotspots
available for you at realiable cost with 4G level data speeds. Hmm
nothing to say as exaggeration, BSNL is going to implement public Wi-Fi
hot spots of around 50,000 to 60,000 in number across 2500 cities in
India, after taking over by Mr. Anupam Shrivastava as CMD BSNL, who told
that he is eager to participate in Digital India Project.
As expected BSNL is pinning its flag in big way in Digital India
Project. Digital India Project is really the one which is going to make
India’s commitment to provide good governance to all as said by our
beloved PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, which is being captained by Shri Ravi
Shankar Prasad. To that extent if data consumption is increased means,
the GDP is also increased, as GDP is directly being related to data
consumed by the individual.
BSNL is going to implement public Wi-Fi hotspots in the public areas in 2500 cities with in financial year 2015-2016, these BSNL 4G Speed Wi-Fi hotspots are similar to those hot spots with ultra speed which are right now available in Airports, Malls etc... Being BSNL a state owned company, price tag for these public hotspots will be very much inline to the common man expectations.
By seeing the counts projected by BSNL with respect to the public Wi-Fi hotspots, it seems to be most of the cities in India will be covered under this new rollout, as indicated by the statement given by Shri Anupam Shrivastava, the major cities which will be in implementation at first phase are Kolkata, Chennai, Lucknow, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bhopal, Jaipur, Patna, Indore, Chandigarh and Ludhiana.
Telecom gaint has categorized BSNL 4G Level Wi-Fi Hotspots with Ultra Speed across India into 3 types as follows
