BSNL Offers Free Calls & SMS to BSNL Customers of Srinagar area Natural Calamity

Government owned Telecom giant BSNL, the first network to start functioning during the floods extends helping hand to stranded people with worst floods that has seen, and also to facilitate relief operations during natural calamity being faced in Srinagar area by announcing Free Mobile Services (Voice & SMS)  to all those BSNL customers who will be using BSNL’s mobile network in Srinagar area of Jammu & Kashmir.

Botheration for usage charge becomes a hurdle for BSNL customers of the affected area as well as rescue teams from Northern Zone area involving in relief works to communicate without depleting their balance or bothering for usage charges. BSNL has, therefore decided to help people in that area by providing free call and SMS service with immediate effect.Top Director, BSNL Board Shri Anupam Shrivastava stated that "Free call arrangement by BSNL will really help the people, who are already stranded and badly affected due to the worst flood situation as they cannot move to any place for Recharge or Topup of their balance. There are no retailers or points where from people can get their accounts Topped up".

By this new announcement, BSNL once again proved that the Telecom PSU moves with Social responsibility at any time, and this new announcement will be available for these customers who belong to that area and BSNL customer from other states of North Zone reaching Srinagar area for relief and rescue operations will be able to make Local as well as STD Free Calls &  Free SMS while they are in Srinagar area.

Jammu & Kashmir Flood Situation in September 2014The Free Call Facility for customers of Srinagar area Natural Calamity, have already been started from night hours of 11-09-2014, and this Free Calls & SMS facility under Mobile Services should continue for 10 days from 12-09-2014 to 21-09-2014, along with no incoming/outgoing barring for Postpaid customers of effected area for one month from the said date.
