TRAI reveals, 'BSNL loses 50,000 broadband subscribers in month of October'

 According to TRAI's latest report, Indian government-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited lost about 50,000 broadband customers in October. The telecom giants Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio received more subscribers, as Airtel Xstream Fiber's user base increased from 2.6 million to 2.67 million in the month of October. On the other hand, BSNL saw a decline in its broadband subscriber from 7.8 million to 7.75 million at the end of October. On the other hand, Jio topped the wireless broadband segment with 406.36 million subscribers.

According to the TRAI's report for the month of October, the wired broadband subscriber of government-owned BSNL declines from 7.8 million in September to 7.75 million in October. This indicates a loss of around 50,000 subscribers in the span of a month. Bharti Airtel comes at the second position with 2.67 million wired broadband subscribers. Talking about the other telecom companies, Atria Convergence has 1.74 million subscribers, Reliance Jio has 1.7 million subscribers, and Hathway cable has a total of 1.05 million subscribers at the end of October. Talking about the month of September, Jio had a total of 1.52 million subscribers which now increased to 1.7 million.

Talking about wireless broadband, Reliance Jio reaches at the top with 406.36 million subscribers till October end. Bharti Airtel came got the second position with 167.56 million subscribers, Vodafone Idea is in third having 120.49 million subscribers, where BSNL have 18.12 million subscribers, and Tikona comes at the last with 0.31 million subscribers
