BSNL woos port-in customers with unlimited calls, data at Rs 100

BSNL has announced its Mega offer, which gives its new port-in customers unlimited voice, SMS as well as data benefits. Under this offer, users will get a free SIM card as well as benefits of the
company’s Rs 399 for Rs 100. BSNL said in a press statement can the offer can be activated only through Customer Service Centres (CSCs) and new port-in customers will need to show BSNL coupon printed on domestic LPG bills of IOCL/HPCL under GSM prepaid mobile services.

BSNL has rolled out coupon in seven Indian states which include, Uttar Pradesh ( East & West) , Uttaranchal, Himanchal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir at LPG dealers. “Mega offer is a truly unlimited welcome-gift to new and MNP prepaid customers where at Rs 1.35 per day for 74 days,” Anupam Shrivastava, CMD BSNL said.

BSNL’s Mega offer will give its customers the same benefits as its Rs 399 STV at a price of Rs 100. This includes voice calls as well as data, SMS and Personalised Ring Back Tone (PRBT) benefits. Users should keep in mind the offer is for new port-in customers only. Mega offer will give its users unlimited voice calls including national roaming in Delhi and Mumbai. The PRBT benefits come with unlimited song change option. The validity is 74 days.

BSNL announced its Rs 399 prepaid plan as part of its “Rakhi offer” and it was made available to users from August this year. It is unclear if there is a daily cap of Fair Usage Policy (FUP) on data offered under this pack.
