BSNL staff against hiving off mobile towers

Trichy: BSNL employees have opposed the move to hive off the firm’s mobile towers into a separate subsidiary company at a meeting held in Trichy On Saturday. They stated that the move would ruin the government entity as it will be handed over to private parties. Various resolutions have also been adopted at the meeting organised by the BSNL Employees Development Association.

Opposing the formation of a separate tower corporation, the functionaries of the Telecom Employees Development Association stated that the decision to form a separate entity will directly benefit the private telecom companies.
