BSNL Launches a New Rs 700 Broadband Plan With Free Amazon Prime Subscription

BSNL has just announced a new Rs 700 broadband plan dubbed as BSNL BBG Combo ULD 700 Amaze which offers a 10 Mbps connection, unlimited voice calls and the best part of this plan is the free Amazon Prime Subscription.
BSNL is the leading broadband player in the Indian market, and this move will not surprise many as the telco is looking to combat the upcoming threat from Reliance JioFiber. But we must say it’s an unusual move from the government-owned telco which no one would have expected to happen. The all-new BSNL BBG Combo ULD 700 Amaze broadband plan will be effective on a pan-India basis from May 1. The telco also revealed complete details of the new broadband plan.

Firstly, the new Rs 700 broadband plan of BSNL offers up to 10 Mbps of download speed until 15GB and post the FUP, the download speed will be reduced to 2 Mbps. That said, there’s no limit for the 2 Mbps after FUP speed though. Alongside the data benefit, BSNL is also offering 500 minutes of BSNL to BSNL free voice calling and unlimited free calls between 10:30 PM to 6 AM to any network in India. Sunday free voice calling, which is expected to end on April 30, 2018, is also applicable, and the telco is expected to extend the free Sunday voice calling beyond the deadline.
Coming to the best part of the broadband plan, it gives free Amazon Prime subscription for all the users. While the Amazon Prime subscription details are yet to be known, it could come with one-year validity, same as how Airtel is offering with its broadband plans. However, the user must be subscribed to the newly introduced plan for a longer period to enjoy the Amazon Prime subscription for a year.
Lastly, the plan also gives one free e-mail ID and 1GB of space for the same. Customers opting this plan will have to pay security deposit amount of Rs 700 (one-month charges), and BSNL is also offering the same on an annual basis. If a customer opts the plan for one year, the charges would be Rs 7,700 (11 months as one-month charges will be discounted); For two years, the charges will be Rs 14,700 (21 months charges), and for three years, the final charge would be Rs 21,000 (30 months rental).
This plan would be available on a pan-India basis starting May 1, 2018. As stated, BSNL is looking to extend the Sunday voice calling as well, so this plan will be an excellent option for avid voice callers.
