Sub: Payment of Srinagar Valley Allowances to the BSNL staff posted in Srinagar Valley – review of.

Kind attention is invited towards this office letter No. 23-1/2011-TE dated 08.05.2014 vide which Srinagar Valley Allowance granted to all the officers/officials of the BSNL working in the Srinagar Valley was extended from 01.01.2013 to 31.12.2013. Approval of Competent Authority is hereby conveyed for the further extension of these allowances from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.2015. This allowance will be paid @ 12.5% of basic pay subject to a maximum of Rs. 850/- p.m. This sanction will remain valid for two years from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.2015 or till the conditions in the valley improve or till the special concessions given by the DOP&Trg. are withdrawn, whichever is earlier.
