Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has extended the availability of promotional broadband plans that it had rolled out in October for 90 days. The promotional offer expired on December 29, 2020. Now, the telco has announced an extension of the broadband plans for another 90 days starting January 4, 2021.
BSNL crossed a one million customer base in the FTTH segment in December 2020 with the help of these promotional Bharat Fiber plans, Kerala Telecom reported. In October 2020, BSNL was able to activate more than 88,779 new Bharat Fiber connections with Kerala Circle leading the charts with 15,793 connections.
Following are the Bharat Fiber broadband plans being provided by BSNL.
BSNL Bharat Fibre Rs 449 broadband plan: This plan, also called the Fibre Basic plan offers 30 Mbps speed till 3.3TB speed or 3300GB FUP limit. After the FUP limit is reached, the speed is reduced to 2Mbps. Users opting for this plan will also get unlimited voice calling to any network within India. This plan is available in all the telecom circles as a welcome offer for new customers. The charges of this plan are exclusive of GST.
The plan shall be available only for the new broadband customers and available on a promotional basis. Customers opting 449 plan will be migrated automatically to Fiber Basic Plus 599 plan after 6 months.
BSNL Bharat Fibre Rs 799 broadband plan: This plan offers 100 Mbps speed till 3300GB or 3.3 TB. Once the FUP limit is reached, the speed is reduced to 2 Mbps.
BSNL Premium Fibre Rs 999 broadband plan: BSNL Fibre Premium broadband plan offers 200 Mbps speed for Rs 999 till 3300GB or 3.3 TB after which the speed is reduced to 2Mbps.
This plan comes with a free premium membership to Disney+ Hotstar.
BSNL Ultra Fibre Rs 1499 broadband plan: This plan by BSNL offers up to 300 Mbps speed till 4TB or 4000GB is reached. After the FUP limit, the speed is reduced to 4 Mbps. This plan, too, gives unlimited calling benefits to any network within the country. This plan also comes with a free premium membership to DIsney+ Hotstar. These plans will be offered by BSNL in select circles with competition for a promotional period of 90 days.
Customers can get the Bharat Fiber broadband plans at their nearest customer service center and BSNL franchisee or retailers, or by calling on toll-free number - 1800 345 1500. Moreover, existing landline or ADSL broadband customers can migrate their connection to FTTH by retaining their old landline number. Customers wanting to use their existing landline number for BSNL FTTH can submit their request to the nearest BSNL customer service center.
Customers of other ISP fiber connections of local cable operators (LCOs) can also migrate to BSNL Bharat Fiber at no additional cost. Users have to ask their LCO to change their fiber connection to BSNL FTTH which also comes bundled with an unlimited free voice facility without any additional cost.
