Vodafone Rs.597 vs Airtel Rs.597 vs BSNL Rs.597 vs Idea Rs.595: Prepaid Recharge Plans Compared for Benefits, Offers

The competition in the Telecom sector in India is only growing tighter. Ever since the arrival of Reliance’s Jio network, other telecom providers have been trying to provide the best plans for its consumers.

Carriers such as Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, and BSNL, have introduced new and exciting prepaid plans that provide a lot of benefits to the user. In this post, we will compare the offers between Vodafone, Airtel, Idea, and BSNL. All of them offer a Rs.597 plan that has a validity of more than 100 days except Idea that offers a Rs.595 plan.
Vodafone Rs.597 Prepaid Recharge Plan: Offers, Benefits

Vodafone recently launched a new Rs. 597 plan for its prepaid users. This comes after Airtel offered a similar plan for the same price. As per the new plan from Vodafone, users will get 10GB of 4G data in total, with a validity of 112 days. This is for smartphone users, whereas those using this plan on a feature phone, will get 168 days of validity.

The plan also includes free 100 SMS every day, and unlimited calling with an FUP. The free unlimited calling, local, STD, and Roaming, is capped at 250 minutes a day, and 1000 minutes a week. Also, you can only call 100 unique phone numbers. The plan is available across all 4G circles in the country.

Airtel Rs.597 Prepaid Recharge Plan: Offers, Benefits

The Bharti Airtel plan of Rs. 597 has been around for a few months now. Technically, this plan is better than Vodafone’s offering. The plan is valid for a total of 168 days and doesn’t discriminate between feature phone or smartphone users. Everyone gets the same benefits here. However, this plan is only available in select circles in India.

When you recharge for Rs. 597 via the app or the website, you will get 10GB of 4G data, and unlimited voice calling. Airtel will not cap the unlimited calls, which means you can talk for unlimited minutes for free. You also get the benefit of 100 SMS per day. This plan is basically for customers who talk a lot on the phone.
BSNL Rs.597 Prepaid Recharge Plan: Offers, Benefits

The BSNL plan isn’t as great as the Vodafone or the Airtel plan. You do get longer validity with this plan, but the data offering is less. When you recharge for Rs. 597, you will get a total of 6GB of 2G/3G data with 180 days of validity.

The recharge is available only via the BSNL app or through the online website. After you cross the data limit, you will be charged 3ps for every 10KB.
Idea Rs.595 Prepaid Recharge Plan: Offers, Benefits

Finally, Idea also has a similar plan that will cost you Rs. 595. The offers are pretty much the same as the Vodafone, and Airtel plans, but you only get 112 days of validity. For the validity period, users will get 10GB of 4G data. Once you cross the limit, you will be charged 4ps per 10KB, which is higher than the BSNL plan.

You also get unlimited voice calling, but it comes with an FUP. Users can only speak for 250 minutes a day, or 1000 minutes a week. This is similar to the Vodafone offer, but with lesser validity. This plan will also offer 100 SMS every day. The plan is available across all Idea Cellular circles in the country.
Vodafone vs Airtel vs BSNL vs Idea: Verdict

All of the carriers provide similar offers in terms of data, except for BSNL, who only gives 6GB of data. However, the BSNL plan does provide the longest validity out of them all. Airtel users can enjoy unlimited calling on the Rs. 597 plan, but it is only limited to certain circles. For now, it looks like Airtel is currently providing the best Rs. 597 plan out of the four carriers.
