BSNL Replicates a Jio in Broadband Segment by Rolling Out Daily Data Plans Starting at Rs 99

BSNL is slowly preparing for the launch of Jio GigaFiber services in the country as it has now come with broadband plans with daily data limit. BSNL, which is the leading wired Internet Service Provider (ISP) in India has launched four new broadband plans which don’t fall into the company’s Fibre-to-the-Home plans.
The four plans in question are Rs 99, Rs 199, Rs 229 and Rs 399, and they offer up to 600GB of data benefit for a month. To avoid the confusion between the plans, BSNL has kept the speeds at 20 Mbps along with an after FUP speed of 1 Mbps. Nevertheless, the Rs 99 broadband plan offers the least benefit, while the Rs 399 plan provides the highest FUP limit on a monthly basis.

Also, these plans offer unlimited voice calls, like various other plans in BSNL’s portfolio. Another best part is users across the country can opt these plans, subjected if BSNL is offering broadband services in that particular location. Furthermore, the plans have been introduced on a promotional basis, which means that they’ll expire after 90 days from the date of introduction. BSNL stated that these plans are not valid in Andaman & Nicobar telecom circle.

As mentioned, these are promotional plans valid for 90 days from the date of introduction, but BSNL might extend them if the demand for these plans is high. The company also confirmed that old users could not migrate to these plans because they’ve introduced aiming new users in mind.
