JioFiber, Airtel, BSNL Mid-Range Broadband Plans

Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have built a very solid broadband business in India. All the telecom operators now provide broadband internet services PAN-India and are continuously expanding fiber networks to ensure that each and every location of a city or town can get seamless internet services. Today, we are going to look at broadband plans from these companies that fall in the mid-range pricing category and fulfil all your needs.

JioFiber Mid-Range Broadband Plan

JioFiber offers a Rs 1,499 broadband plan which fits the category of mid-range plan very well. This plan comes with 300 Mbps speed and offers 3.3TB fair-usage-policy (FUP) data for the month. There’s also a free landline connection bundled with unlimited calling and multiple over-the-top (OTT) benefits.

These OTT benefits include Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar VIP, SonyLIV, Voot Select, Netflix (basic), Voot Kids, ZEE5 Premium, Lionsgate Play, Hoichoi, SunNXT, JioCinema, Discovery+, Eros Now, ShemarooMe, ALT Balaji, and JioSaavn. Let’s take a look at Bharti Airtel’s broadband plan that comes in the same price range.

Bharti Airtel Mid-Range Broadband Plan

Bharti Airtel offers an ‘Ultra’ broadband plan to the users for Rs 1,499. It offers the same speed as that of Jio’s plan which is 300 Mbps. Users get 3.33TB of data for the month and are eligible to receive a free landline connection as well. This plan too avails OTT benefits for the users that include Amazon Prime Video, Airtel Xstream, Disney+ Hotstar VIP, and other Airtel Thanks benefits.

BSNL Mid-Range Broadband Plan

BSNL offers its mid-range broadband plan for Rs 1,499 as well. It is called ‘Fibre Ultra’ and users get 300 Mbps speed with this plan too but the FUP data for the month is 4TB which is significantly more than what JioFiber and Airtel Xstream Fiber offer to their users. Post consumption of the FUP data, the internet speed for the user will drop to 4 Mbps.

This plan comes with a free unlimited voice calling landline connection too and offers an OTT benefit of Disney+ Hotstar Premium for 1 year without any additional cost.

Looking at the above three plans, it looks like BSNL’s plan is more friendly with heavy data users. But, if you are someone who wants more OTT benefits, JioFiber’s plan is the right option for you. Airtel’s plan is not bad either but it fails to stand out with any unique offering. BSNL’s OTT benefit of Disney+ Hotstar Premium is not offered by any other broadband service provider in India.
