YuppTV partners with BSNL to launch all-in-one subscription-based OTT streaming platform

Leading global OTT platform YuppTV has announced that it has partnered with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to launch a single subscription-based video streaming platform, YuppTV Scope.

YupTV is launching the new video services for BSNL broadband users after it had previously signed an MoU with the state-owned telecom company to offer bundled OTT services to its broadband users. The YupTV Scope plan is exclusive to BSNL broadband users.

On the YupTV Scope website, you can get a bundle of YupTV, ZEE5, SonyLiv and Voot Select for a price of Rs 199 for a month. However, there is a launch offer under which users will have to pay just Rs 129 for the first three months of subscription.

All you need to know about YupTV Scope

YupTV Scope offers all users a single subscription to all premium OTT applications such as SonyLiv, ZEE5, Voot Select and YuppTV, besides a selection of live TV channels, to BSNL broadband users. The single subscription-based model eliminates the need for users to install multiple apps on their devices.

The idea is to provide an ecosystem for all key stakeholders including content partners, broadcasters, telecom and broadband providers to offer a “unique seamless service to customers.

YupTV Scope has promised a highly-curated experience with personalised recommendations that will be manually curated by a team of experts, based on viewership pattern and also by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities.

Since it is a cross-platform service, YupTV Scope can be accessed from a range of devices including smart TV, personal computer, mobile phone, tablet and streaming media players.

In addition, users can engage in live chats, participate in live polls and also request content of their choice. All of this can be done even while watching live TV.

Uday Reddy, Founder and CEO, YuppTV, said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of YuppTV Scope, our single subscription OTT platform in partnership with BSNL. With this launch, we are enabling the convergence of prominent content partners, broadcasters, telecom, and broadband providers to create a holistic ecosystem for all key stakeholders across industries. This unique and seamless video entertainment experience using a technologically-advanced, all-encompassing platform will first be offered to BSNL customers. We will soon be adding more apps to the platform.”

Commenting on the partnership, BSNL CMD PK Purwar said that OTT is the “veritable future” of entertainment consumption in India.

“The rising viewership across genres and age groups corroborates this fact. Committed to staying in step with the changing trends and offering relevant services for our vase pan-India user base, BSNL is delighted to collaborate with YuppTV in the launch of the next-generation, tech-driven content curation platform YuppTV Scope.”

“We believe that the platform will revolutionise content consumption in the country and further usher in the era of OTT,” he added.
