Jamshedpur, Feb 12: Four employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Jamshedpur Business Area won the Vishist Sanchar Seva Padak award of the company on Friday.
BSNL has got its internal process to reward the exemplary performance of employees at All India Level and at Circle/State level through different awards. The awards, Bharat Sanchar Seva Padak at All India Level and Vishist Sanchar Seva Padak at Circle/State Level are given to employees in recognition of hard work at executive and non executive levels.
The four awardees are Kanteshwari Das, Prince, Natwar Kumar Singh and B.Laxmi Narayan.
Kanteshwari Das, an office superintendent in Jamshedpur was selected for her outstanding contribution in timely processing of pension, family pension and compassionate ground appointments.
Junior Engineer Prince was selected for his outstanding contribution in project Samundra Manthan, wherein scrap, obsolete materials were sold through MSTC, and department earned revenue of Rs 1.8 Crore through such process.
Sub divisional Engineer Natwar Kumar Singh received the award for his exemplary contribution in commissioning 228 number of leased circuits out of target of 231, an achievement of 98.7%, which was the highest in the Jharkhand Circle.
B.Laxmi Narayan, a sub divisional engineer won the award for acting as a change agent in giving a boost to enterprise business segment in Jamshedpur BA, thereby getting significant business from not only government institutions but also private companies. The EB segment revenue increased from Rs 5 Crore to Rs 6.7 Crore in FY 18-19.
As part of award, each of them was given a cheque of Rs 21,000, a 50 gm silver medal along with citation.
The awards were presented by KKSingh, chief general manager of Jharkhand Circle during a ceremony held at Jamshedpur’s Pardih office on February 12.
“It is a matter of great pride and honour that all the four awardees, who were selected by Jharkhand Circle are of Jamshedpur Business Area. This is a reflection of the important and the role played by Jamshedpur BA in the overall growth of Jharkhand Circle,” said chief general manager.
Sanjeev Verma, GMTD Jamshedpur BA (Business Area), A.K.Samanta, GM (Admn), Jharkhand Circle along with other officers of Jharkhand Circle and Jamshedpur Business Area were also present on the said occasion.
