You can now use Google Search to discover, compare and recharge prepaid plans, right on the search result page, without leaving Google at all!

How Is This Feature Convenient?

The company states that the users will be able to browse plans across different mobile carriers, compare different offers, discounts and make recharge using different payment options.
Users along with their prepaid sim card can recharge another person’s prepaid sim card as well!
This search experience is currently available for users that have signed-in using their Android devices, and have existing prepaid service plans from Airtel, Vodafone-Idea, Jio and BSNL across India.
Also mobile wallets like Mobikwik, Paytm, FreeCharge and Google Pay offering offers are also made available.
In India, there are approximately 110 crore cellular connections of which around 95% comprise prepaid SIM cards.

How To Recharge Pre-paid Sim Cards?

Typing the key word ‘mobile recharge’ or ‘sim recharge’ on Google search will take the users to the search results providing prepaid plans.
On the search results page, users need to fill in their details into a brief form and then hit ‘Browse plans’.

To recharge any SIM, select a plan and then you can view the various recharge offers from mobile payment apps such as Mobikwik, Paytm, FreeCharge and Google Pay or you can choose a payment service of your choice via the service provider’s website or app.
