After five-hour suspension, mobile services restored in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 15 (UNI) Mobile services of all cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) were restored after five-hour suspension in Kashmir Valley, including Srinagar, where 72nd Independence Day (ID) was celebrated on Wednesday.


Mobile services of all companies, including BSNL, were suspended at 0800 hrs in the Valley, including summer capital, Srinagar, where the main ID functions was held at S K Cricket Stadium under unprecedented security arrangements.

However, the services were restored at around 1300 hrs after the ID functions were over.

The mobile internet services have also been restored in the valley, where train service remained suspended since early Wednesday morning due to security reasons.

Meanwhile, Broadband and point-to-point internet services were functioning normally in the valley.
