The move came right after BSNL’s decision to withdraw the free calling offer from February 1, 2018. However, it seems that due to its popularity, the company has decided to extend the plan until April 30, 2018. To recall, the company introduced the free Sunday calls for landline users on August 21, 2016, which allowed users free unlimited calling from BSNL landline to any landline and mobile network of any service provider on Sundays on pan India basis.
“BSNL is happy to announce that Sunday Free Calling Facility from BSNL Landline to any other phone, any other operator, which was supposed to be closed wef 1.2.2018, will continue to be FREE for another Three Months. This decision is taken after considering popular demand from all corners of this country and from all strata of society,” said BSNL in a statement, as obtained by TelecomTalk.
Previously, the telecom operator also revised the night voice calling scheme from 9:00 PM-7:00 AM to 10:30 AM to 6:00 AM for the broadband users. The move is in line with company’s decision to curb free night calling benefits for its broadband users.
BSNL recently announced a new ‘Happy Offer’ for its prepaid customers across India. The telecom operator is offering either 43 percent of extra validity or 50 percent additional data. The company revised six tariff plans including Rs 186, Rs 187, Rs 349, Rs 429, Rs 485 and Rs 666. To start with the Rs 186 and Rs 187 plans, both of them now offers unlimited voice calls along with 1GB of data per day over a period of 28 days.
