Printed telecom bills for another three months: BSNL

PANAJI: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) authorities have decided to defer implementing the decision to discontinue providing printed bills to consumers, by three months.

BSNL, principal general manager, Yogesh Chandra Mishra said the decision has been taken in view of suggestions and objections made by NGOs and consumers. BSNL had last week decided to issue soft copies of the bill from January 1, 2019. Consumers will now receive hard copy bills for at least three more months.

Chennai: State-run telecom firm BSNL’s annual loss widened to Rs 7,992 crore for the fiscal year ended March 2018, the Parliament was informed.
