The BSNL HQ vide Circular No.51, bearing No. 14-1/2012-PAT(BSNL) dated 14th July 2015 endorses DPE’s order on increase in IDA w.e.f. 01.07.2015, making total 102.6%.

Number of BSNL Landline customers continues to decrease in Darbhanga

BSNL Landline service customers continues to decrease due frequent technological faults and poor customer support.According to an estimate , about 7000 landline subscribers have surrendered their handsets in the last five years.There were 19,000 customers in 2010 which has now been reduced to 12,000.

BSNL Kerala Circle to launch New Data STV 57 with 250MB Free 3G/2G Data having 30 days validity from 16th July 2015 onwards

As we reported on 10th of July 2015, BSNL announced the launch of New longer validity data STV / Add-on plan with 250 MB Free 3G/2G data for it'sPrepaid and Postpaid Mobile Customers across India. Today, BSNL Kerala Circle has announced that, the MRP of New Prepaid Data STV will be Rs 57 for Kerala Circle.

Solar powered mobile towers to keep communication up even during disasters

DEHRADUN: Taking a lesson from the 2013 mid-June Kedarnath disaster in which the entire communication network in the hills broke down due to lack of electricity supply for days, Disaster Management and Mitigation Centre (DMMC) has identified about 30 places in nine hilly districts for the installation of low powered solar battery operated mobile towers to ensure uninterrupted network connectivity even during disasters.
