BSNL Issued Over 60 SIM Cards On One Subscriber Name, Which He Wasn’t Aware

Again bringing the incident of multitude issuing of SIM cards on one name into the light, and need for stricter regulations to control such happenings.

A BSNL subscriber from, Ichoda in Adilabad district, Telangana state come to know that as many as 65 SIM cards was issued by the telecom company on his name.

The incident come to the fore after he called BSNL service when four SIMS that he purchased on his name and used by the his family members was found blocked, upon calling the telecom operator informed him that not less than 65 SIM’s was active on his name.

Worried over possible misuse of SIM card that issued on his name, he informed Ichoda police through a petition to block those numbers.

A BSNL official said the limit on issue of SIM cards on a single identity is just eight, The Hindu reported.
