BSNL Prepaid Plans: The best prepaid plans currently offered

The affordability of mobile prepaid plans and value on offer means that users today have plenty of options to choose from, with Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Idea Cellular and Airtel all offering excellent prepaid plans. But if you’ve been a BSNL subscriber for a while, you’ll probably prefer to stick to the government-owned telecom service provider, purely for its wide-reaching network that gets it to even remote corners of the country. And although BSNL still hasn’t rolled out 4G services, it’s the preferred provider for many in India.

We’ve put together a list of the best prepaid plans on offer from BSNL in August 2018, so you can pick the best option for you. BSNL offers a wide range of prepaid plans in various budgets, thereby reaching customers across the cost spectrum.

Rs 9 and Rs 29 recharges

These are limited availability plans, only running till August 25. Under this, users will get one day of validity on the Rs 9 recharge and seven days on the Rs 29 recharge, unlimited calls on any network (local + STD), 100 SMS per day and 2GB data per day (after which data is unlimited at 80kbps). Mumbai and Delhi mobile numbers aren’t included in the calling benefits though.

Rs 36 and Rs 37 recharges

These plans offer identical benefits, with the key difference being that the pulse for voice calls is seconds on the Rs 36 plan and minutes on the Rs 37 plan. Users are offered 50MB of data for 30 days, and a validity of 180 days, and must recharge with top-ups to be able to place calls or use data after the free allowance. The plan is ideal for users who intend to use the connection primarily to receive calls, and maybe place a few calls too.
