BSNL introduces add-on packs to offer more data to postpaid subscribers

BSNL has just introduced a variety of add-on plans for the its postpaid subscribers. These plans are available with both limited and unlimited data and will be activated once the existing plan is consumed. A user can subscribe to these plans on monthly basis if they feel their primary plan does not full fill their requirements. The add-on packs will provide only 3G speeds, as reported by TelecomTalk.

The unlimited add-on plans come with FUP limits, within which users will get access to high-speed internet. Once the FUP is crossed, the data speeds will be reduced to a lower bandwidth depending on the plan. The unlimited plans start at a price of Rs 240, where customers get an FUP of 3.5GB of data, after which speeds are reduced to 80Kbps.  Above that, there is also a Rs 340 plan, which offers 5.5GB of high-speed internet. The speeds are reduced to 80Kbps on crossing the FUP limit as well.
If your data requirement is much higher, then you can also subscribe to a Rs 666 add-on plan that has 11GB of data to offer. Above that, you have Rs 901 and Rs 1,711 packs that come with 20GB and 30GB of high-speed internet respectively. Post the FUP limit, the speeds are reduced to 128Kbps on both plans.
The limited add-on plans on the other hand start at a mere Rs 50. This plan offers 550MB of high-speed data.  After the FUP though, users will be charged 1p/10KB. That said, there is also a Rs 75 plan which offers 1,500MB of data, which is close to three times the data of the basic plan. The 1p/10KB charges after the limit apply here and on other plans as well.
