 New Delhi: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) will impose a fine of upto Rs 10,000 per violation and permanent disconnection of all telecom resources of commercial SMS senders who dupe customers by sending fraudulent SMSes with fake headers.

Tripura: 708 gram panchayats connected with high-speed broadband under BharatNet

 Agartala: About 708 gram panchayats (GPs) or village committees in Tripura have already been connected with high-speed broadband under the Central government’s ambitious BharatNet project.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on August 15, 2020 announced that all villages in India will be connected with broadband in 1,000 days.
