BSNL’s pan-India 4G rollout in 18-24 months: TCS

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a part of Tata group, is focussing on to develop tested and proven homegrown next generation telecom technology, and following the satisfactory outcome of the fourth generation or 4G proof-of-concept, is working with state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on network planning, technical and commercial aspects. In an interaction with ETTelecom’s Muntazir Abbas, N Ganapathy Subramaniam, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Executive Director, TCS spoke on the acquisition of Tejas Networks, commercial 4G deployment, 5G scalability, and dependencies on chips and component supplies. रिलायंस जियो (Reliance Jio) ने भारतीय दूरसंचार बाजार में अपनी बढ़त और मजबूत कर ली है. कंपनी ने मई में 31 लाख से अधिक नए मोबाइल ग्राहक जोड़े हैं. TRAI के आंकड़ों से यह जानकारी मिली है. सुनील मित्तल की अगुवाई वाली भारती एयरटेल ने मई माह में 10.27 लाख नए ग्राहक जोड़े हैं. इसके बाद उसके मोबाइल ग्राहकों की संख्या बढ़कर 36.21 करोड़ हो गई है.

 The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), MP Telecom Circle, Bhopal has released a fresh notification for the engagement of apprentices in apprenticeship training for a period of one year.

Eligible and interested candidates shall apply through BOAT’s government portal www.mhrdnats.gov.in online on or before July 23.

जागरण संवाददाता, सोनभद्र : भारत संचार निगम लिमिटेड मीरजापुर जोन के सोनभद्र, मीरजापुर व भदोही के दस लाख मोबाइल फोन के उपभोक्ताओं को स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर हर घर में तिरंगा फहराने के लिए प्रेरित कर रहा है। इस बाबत निगम के आइटी सेल ने अब तक दस लाख ग्राहकों को एसएमएस भेजकर देश की आजादी के प्रति आम लोगों को जागरूक किया है, जिससे अबकी 15 अगस्त को हर नागरिक के घर पर झंडारोहण कराया जा सके।

BSNL executives seek redressal of pay issues

 NEW DELHI: State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) executives sought a redressal of multiple human resource (HR) issues such as pay scale standard, derailed promotions and superannuation benefits, and are planning to apprise the Minister of Communications Ashwini Vaishnaw, before further intensifying protests.

BSNL 4G: Now or never

 NEW DELHI: The much-awaited commercial foray of next generation (4G) network of state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is yet to take off. Hiccups continue. Deployment seems distant. What's it waiting for? August! The telco's ambitious next generation network launch next month is prophesied, talked about and much hyped already.

BSNL Has Not Received 4G Spectrum Yet

 Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has not yet received 4G spectrum from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). The telecom department had reserved a certain quantum of spectrum for BSNL/MTNL (Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited) for offering 4G services in India. DoT said that BSNL/MTNL would receive the 4G airwaves “after completion of necessary formalities in accordance with the Cabinet approval in this regard”.
