After the intense war between telecom companies over the cheapest
data and calling plan, the war has now shifted to broadband plans.
State-owned telecom operators that had once said that it would match Jio
"tariff-by-tariff" is leaving no stone unturned to stand up to its
words.
After launching some attractive voice call and data plans, the company has now launched Triple Play broadband plans in partnership with TV service provider Sri Devi Television (SDV) starting at the price of Rs 888. The subscribers need to purchase the cable TV plan separately and these plans start at Rs 243.
BSNL has launched a total of ten plans under this partnership. Subscribers can opt from these range of ten plans alongside the cable TV plans offered by SDV operator. These plans for now are available only in Vishakhapatnam city of Andhra Pradesh.
BSNL has pushed all its Bharat Fibre plans under the Triple Play plans along with three other plans. BSNL's broadband plans Fibro Combo ULD 645 CS95, Fibro Combo ULD CS 96, Fibro Combo ULD 2795 CS20, Rs 849, Rs 1,277, Rs 2,499, Rs 4,499, Rs 5,999, Rs 9,999 and Rs 16,999 are the ten Triple Play plans launched by BSNL. The SDV cable TV operator offers seven cable TV packs under this partnership- SDS Pack 2 at Rs 243, SDS Pack 2 Plus at Rs 333, SDS HD Pack at Rs 333, SDS HD Pack Plus at Rs 333, SDS Pack 4 at Rs 351, SDS Pack 5 at Rs 315 and SDS Pack 6 at Rs 360.
How does the Triple Play plan work? Say the subscribers opt for Rs 1277 broadband plan from BSNL and Rs 333 pack from cable TV operator. In this case they will have to pay Rs 1,277 plus Rs 333. The total monthly charge will be Rs 1610 which is excluding the GST. Additional 18 per cent GST will be added on this amount.

BSNL has also launched broadband add-ons on the Triple Play plans. These add-ons offer extra data on top of the data that you get from your existing broadband plans. Priced at a much lower cost than the Tripe Play plans, these add-ons come at Rs 100 for 2GB data, Rs 200 for 5GB data, Rs 300 for 10GB data and Rs 500 for 20GB.
