Reliance Jio's extremely consumer-friendly prices have changed the
telecom sector in a massive way. Since its introduction, Jio has led all
other existing players such as Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and BSNL to
shake up the pricing strategies of their data plans. In response, all of
them have been countering Jio's offers with more compelling offers.
BSNL is the latest one to do that with its yearly plan and they aim to
offer a more wallet-friendly offer for its subscribers with its latest
Rs 1,312 plan.
In what comes as good news for BSNL subscribers, the state-owned telecom service provider is now offering a new yearly plan. For Rs 1,312, BSNL will be giving its subscribers an annual quota of 5GB of data usage as well as unlimited voice calls. Subscribers will also be entitled to 1000 free SMSes. The pack will offer a validity of 365 days from the date of recharge.
Do
note that the Rs 1,312 pack will offer unlimited STD, local and roaming
voice calls to all networks excluding the Delhi and Mumbai circles.
BSNL has also restricted this offer for its subscribers from the Andhra
Pradesh and Telengana circles. The pack is available as a promotional
offer until April 6, 2019, for the Telengana circle though. The Rs 1,312
pack won't allow subscribers to avail the benefits of full talk time
through top-ups of Rs 500, Rs 1,100, Rs 1,500, Rs 2,000, Rs 2,200, Rs
2,500, and Rs 3,000.
Apart from the Rs 1,312 recharge pack, consumers can also opt for yearly recharges of Rs 1,699 and Rs 2,099. The Rs 1,699 plan will offer up to 1,536GB of data, which translates into 4.21GB of data per day. The Rs 2,099 pack offers 2,266GB of data, which translates to 6.21GB of data per day. Both these packs offer a validity of 365 days. They also offer unlimited voice calling and unlimited SMS messages (limited to 100 per day).
With the Rs 1,312 pack, BSNL is going up against Jio's yearly pack of Rs 1,699. Jio offers up to 547GB of data, which translates into 1.5GB of data per day. Additionally, the pack offers unlimited voice calls and messages (100 SMS per day). Subscribers also get a complimentary subscription to Jio apps.
